You may or may not have noticed that the blogging here on Driving Horse has been somewhat slack lately. The blame lies with the guys at Infinity Ward for bringing out the latest in the Call of Duty series, Modern Warfare 2.
If you don't know what we're talking about watch the video.

Mandelbulb
Crazy maths based 3D imagery. It's strangely hypnotic while being completely hideous at the same time. The website makes us feel quite nauseous.

Sucker Punch
We are very excited about Zack Snyder's new movie Sucker Punch. We have been lucky enough to have spied some early concept art and trust us, it's amazing. We can't share any of images with you but here is the press release image created by Alex pardee (who is class). Check out the Sucker Punch Wiki page for more info.

Slinkachu
Tilt-shift photography is in fashion right now and the more popular it becomes sadly the more mediocre work there is. So to find someone combining a strong idea with a great visual technique is refreshing to see, check out these little people.

and our jaws dropped...
The last race of the 2009 F1 season took place on Sunday 1st November at the brand new Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. We knew it would be a spectacle and as the twilight transition revealed the light shows we were simply blown away - utterly stunning.

Ed Ruscha
The Hayward Gallery at London's Southbank centre is holding this great exhibition of Ed Ruscha's work. It's well worth a visit and if like me you have a short attention span at exhibitions, the layout of this has a good tempo and remains interesting without saturating.

Minor Threat
A rare video from an early Minor Threat show. The start of something incredible and, for some, life changing. "We're not the first and I hope we're not the last 'cause I know we're all heading for that adult crash...."

Mike Shinoda
Linkin Park's production guru Mike Shinoda turns out to be a pretty good artist. Have a gander at his website to see his street art inspired creations. He loves a skull too, as do we.

Fairy tale-like art from Jessica Cooper. Beautiful yet disturbing at the same time. She has a great blog too with some amazing sketches.
