Rocket Man
This fella Ben Cooper has access to Rocket Launch sites and makes good use of it. Check out his site for some breath taking long exposures and some jaw dropping close up's using his remote camera setup. He's dedicated and we like it.

Blogs we like: Dark roasted blend
Ok, to say this is a 'blog we like' is an understatement, so let's provisionally call it "the blog to end all blogs". We came across this article on how selling cars use to be as simple as putting a girl in front of it and what we stumbled upon was truly mind blowing. If you have other things to do today do not visit the Dark Rosted Blend now, save it for that moment when you have nothing to do and need nothing short of a massive visual binge.
We could go on but just go and explore it, bloody well done chaps.

Intricate detail
Some lovely work from Camberwell MA student Julia Bailey and if you fancy it the Camberwell MA shows are coming up in July.

Steam power
Before that swine Doctor Beeching produced his infamous report on the British railways the country was awash with independent companies competing to take the common man and his family wherever he wanted. Selling glamour, fun and sun there were thousands of advertising posters produced and this site houses a fantastic collection that are for sale.
Note the fantastic artwork circa 1930, long before any child could hit the vectorise button. There's some pretty nice stuff in the other categories too.

Porsche pedal power
This Porsche is made from tin foil and sticky tape. It is the genius/mental creation of Austrian artist Hannes Langeder. We love it.

Le ballon Rouge
I saw this film a good few years ago now, on an old VHS copy and was very pleased to find the film in 4 parts on YouTube.
Beautifully shot in amazing colour with a flowing narrative this 1956 film follows a boy and his red ballon around the street of Paris. Simple and timeless film making from Albert Lamorisse.

Another use for Lego
After James May built a house from Lego you would think that would become the pinnacle point of which all future Lego projects would be judged. The bar has been raised.

Guilty as charged
A barrage of internet connection problems combined with a lack of time due to ridiculous work loads and spending what little free time we have indulging in reckless drunken behaviour in a sun soaked early summer vibe have all led to the neglect and stagnant current state of our beloved Driving Horse. It stops here. We're back on it we promise and once again Driving Horse will become a beautiful rolling collection of fantastic images/work/videos/random shite that we stumble across on our daily travels of the internet.
So here we go. Check out these words to live by form Hunter S. Thompson - also, everything else on this blog is pretty cool, infact it's a blog we like.
